Szechuan. Brass 1 Dollar (7 Mace and 2 Candareens) Pattern ND (1898), KM-Pn15, MS63 NGC. Type of L&M-345. Boldly struck, with abundant golden luster and only a few very minor marks. Identical in type, and style, to the example offered in the Stacks-Bowers April 2013 Hong Kong auction (MS62 NGC, sold for $47,800). Only the second example of this rare issue we have seen, and the nicest. A perfect match to the two previous pattern lots and an incredible opportunity to acquire possibly the finest examples of all three of these rare Pattern issues.
