Philip V cob 2 Reales 1725/4 NoR-FS, Nuevo Reino mint, KM19, Restrepo-M72.4, Fine, pierced at 2 o'clock. Struck on a nice large flan with minimal doubling and showing all three digits of the date (with the overdate clear). Pierced as all are the four confirmed specimens of this date to the cataloguer, with the present coin being the finest. Note that two of those specimens (the Restrepo plate coin, and the ex Baldwin's 9/2010, lot 4005 specimen) have the date off flan and can only be attributed through die-linkage. The full 3-digit date makes the present coin specially desirable for the specialist of this series and it should attract strong interest as such.Ex: Lasser collection (Ponterio 1/2005, lot 788). The Calico plate coin.
Estimate: 2000-2500 USD
