Louis XV gold Louis d'or 1733/2-A, Paris mint, KM489.1, Gad-340, MS64 NGC. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, and thus very scarce for this "aux lunettes" type. The clear 3/2 overdate is unlisted in the SCWC, but some examples have been noted. The high mintage of 195,474 pieces for this date explains this and the several other varieties encountered when studying it.
