Charles I silver Pattern Halfcrown or Medal by Briot 1628, 35mm, 15.42g, MI-252-32, XF40 PCGS. A rare type supposed by some to be a Pattern and by others a medal commemorating the La Rochelle expedition. This specimen is evenly toned in gray warming to gold at the edge of the devices. The fields are lightly marked but there is no apparent tooling or spot removal as is often seen on examples of this type.From The Dr. Patrick Tan Collection
