William III Halfcrown 1701, ESC-566, S-3495, VG8 NGC. First bust. Tertio edge. Elephant and castle mintmark. An extremely rare, one-year type with silvery-gray patination and glowing, amber highlights. This piece features the famed elephant and castle mark below the bust of William and, while the piece does exhibit wear, it suffers more from a weak strike. A lovely example of this scarce issue.
