George III copper Pattern Proof 5 Shilling 6 Pence 1811, ESC-206 (scarce), PR63 Brown PCGS. Plain edge. Medal rotation. A striking example, also referred to as a Wreath Dollar, made for the Bank of England during the Napoleonic Wars. One of several suggested denomination varieties that was abandoned at the conclusion of the war when the normal Crown was made again for George III in 1818. Beautiful in every way, this chestnut-brown specimen has incredibly pristine surfaces, bold detail, and unstoppable eye-appeal.
