Great Britain
Edward VII gold 5 Pounds 1902, KM807, Fr-398, MS63 NGC. Choice and desirable one-year type with beautiful, golden mint bloom. Broad and well-struck, with relatively faint contact marks that do not distract from the coin's overall, pleasing appearance. This coveted type has spacious and lustrous reverse fields that surround the pictorial image of St. George slaying the dragon. Scarce and increasingly more difficult to find in mint-state as there are only 8,000 pieces remaining of the original 35,000 that were struck. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $1500 in EF, $1800 in UNC.
Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
