Guatemala
Charles IV 8 Reales 1805 NG-M, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM53, MS61 NGC. A very unusual grade for this date, of which but a few comparable specimens were included in the famous Hubbard hoard dispersed long ago. Showing attractive surfaces and a rather strong strike, this specimen is currently the second highest graded by NGC (the first being the marvelous ex Huntington specimen), and should prove popular with collectors seeking a high grade type coin from an date not usually encountered in mint state.
Estimate: 1000-1500 USD
