Hiberno-Norse. Phase II (c.1015-35) Penny ND, Dublin mint, blundered copy of a Færemin issue, 12.2 grs., S-6125, DF-23, MS63 PCGS. + NNTRC REX IFNY, draped bust left with pellet before, cross pommée behind neck / + FÆ | RIMI | ИNΘ | NEIH, long voided cross with triple crescent ends, a pellet in one angle and a broken pellet across. Struck from well-used dies, the pellets in the reverse fields have degenerated somewhat, although the legends remain legible. The obverse is struck from a fresher die, although there is some die rust apparent. Overall, this specimen has excellent eye-appeal and is deserving of a premium bid.

Estimate: 2000-2500 USD
