Mexico
Philip V gold 2 Escudos 1736/5 Mo-MF, Mexico City mint, KM124, VF30 NGC. A pleasant coin for the assigned grade with reddish toning on the surfaces. The overdate 6/5 is apparent. The minute dig above the MF initials on the reverse clearly identifies it as the ex F. C. C. Boyd coin (Superior 8/1975, lot 2095). A very decent example of this rare type and date (note that the Gerber example had a mount removed) with an important pedigree.
Estimate: 1500-2000 USD
