Republic gold 1/2 Escudo 1826 CUZ-GM, Cuzco mint, KM146.2, MS64 NGC. Choice Uncirculated. Other than a non-offensive scratch to the right of the tree and a tiny rim nick at 7 o'clock on the obverse, this example is basically as struck. The obverse (mintmark and date) side is especially aesthetically appealing, with lustrous surfaces and much bloom. A very scarce condition for this one-year type and tied for finest graded at NGC.
