Republic gold 8 Escudos 1840 CUZ-A, Cuzco mint, KM148.3, FR-63, AU58 NGC. An attractive example, with limited contact marks over shiny surfaces, and better struck than the similarly graded Eliasberg specimen (which showed a weak coat of arms). A very scarce type in this grade.
