Thorn. Wladislaw IV Waza gold Ducat 1635-II, KM22.1, Fr-58, Gum-1622, Dutkowski/Suchanek-1425 (R5), MS64 NGC. Easily the finest example of this rare type this cataloger has seen, it is certainly among the finest extant. The strike has been superbly executed, with needle sharp details to be found in the crown and bust. A couple of tiny flan flaws are to be found along with numerous polishing lines and breaks indicating that the die had been in use for a time. The surfaces are brilliant, fully lustrous, and near devoid of visible abrasions. A magnificent specimen and a prize for the cabinet of the advanced collector of Polish city issues. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $6000 in VF, $9800 in EF.

Estimate: 6000-8000 USD
