Maria II gold 7500 Reis (Peça) 1834, Lisbon mint, KM405, Gomes-19.01, MS63 Prooflike NGC. A choice specimen, with highly reflective surfaces and limited surface marks and rare in this grade. Although valued at 7500 Reis, these peças maintained their intrinsic value compared to earlier pieces of the 6400 Reis denomination. By decree of May 3, 1847, their value was again raised, to 8000 Reis, due to the further increases in the price of gold.
