Alexander II Proof Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1862 СПБ-MИ, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-102 (R), KM-Y24, PR64 NGC. Obv. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle in circle. Rev. Crowned date and value in wreath. An amazing Proof example of this extremely rare issue. The strike is flawless and the fields deeply mirrored. Attractive silver and gold toning further enhances the appeal of this superb rarity. Besides this Choice piece, the next finest examples of this issue certified by NGC are two Mint State pieces in MS62 and one Proof in Proof 62 (the only other Proof certified).
