U.S.S.R. Four-piece aluminum-bronze Proof Set 1926, 1 Kopeck KM-Y91, PR63 NGC; 2 Kopecks KM-Y92, PR65 NGC; 3 Kopecks KM-Y93, PR65 NGC; and 5 Kopecks KM-Y94. All have the same design: Obv. National Arms. Rev. Date and value in wreath. We have never seen, or even heard of, a set of these extremely rare Proof issues. They are listed in Krause (with a ridiculously low value), and the only piece we have ever seen offer was a single 1 Kopeck in our August 2010, Boston ANA Auction, Lot 21824. This single lot sold for $4312.50. This proof set may turn out to be one of the rarer Russian items that we have ever auctioned. That does not mean it will bring the most money, but in terms of shear rarity, it may be one of the rarest. A truly incredible item.
