Saudi Arabia
Abdal Aziz bin Saud gold 4 Pounds ND (1945-46), Philadelphia mint, KM34, MS61 NGC. Small contact marks as usual and scarce in mint state. These bullion coins were struck to satisfy the obligations of the ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil Company) to the Saudi Arabia government, and were struck at the fineness of the British sterling system (.917 fineness) which was slightly higher than the US standard (.900 fineness). An interesting piece of Americana that is very popular among collectors.
Estimate: 2350-2500 USD
