Sierra Leone
British Colony Penny 1791, Soho mint, KM2.2, Vice-FT.5, PR64 Brown NGC. Choice Proof with a tiny flan lamination defect on the obverse between the "P" and "I" of PIECE. As Vice notes, these coins were struck with the obverse die of the original Company 50 Cent, distinguishable by the presence of two blades of grass below the "S" of SIERRA, and some were restruck in later years under the misconception that they represented the original Penny issue. Scarce and most attractive.
