Republic 20 Centesimos 1844, Montevideo mint, KM2.2, MS65 Brown NGC. Gem Uncirculated, with significant amounts of luster remaining despite the assigned grade. A gorgeous coin, struck over a very appealing flan and showing much detailing in the sunface. A common type in circulated grades, this issue of 20 Centavos is quite elusive in Mint State. The present example is certainly a condition rarity as this level of preservation and is among the finest seen by the cataloguer.
