Caujaral cob fantasy date Real (458), Caujaral mint, KM2, VF25 NGC. A most attractive specimen of this rare "Chipi -chipi" issue, struck on the typically klippe-like planchet, and rarely seen in presentable grade (if at all!). When noted specialist Freeman Craig handled the similar - in grade and eye-appeal - ex Dana Roberts specimen dated (146) (Heritage Auctions, 4/2011, lot 26130 for $1,500), he wrote described it as the "first attractive example we recall seeing". That is a telling assertion, since he handled a group of 36 (the good old days!!!) examples in his celebrated 4/1983 auction (see under lot - fittingly - 36). Among the finest seen of this type by the cataloger.
