Elizabeth II gold Proof "Niagara Gold" Pair of Assorted Issues 2000 UNC,
1) Proof "Niagara" 10 Dollars (1/4 oz). 22mm.
2) Proof "Claymore" 10 Dollars (1/8 oz). 18mm.
Valcambi mint, KM-Unl. Mintage: 600. Commissioned by the Reserve bank of New Zealand to commemorate the Royal Mail steamer 'Niagara' which hit a mine in the Pacific at the entrance of Whangarei Harbor on June 19, 1940 - taking gold bars weighing approximately 10 tons to 438 feet (133 meters) below the surface. 'Claymore' was the vessel that was utilized in the recovery operation of the gold bars. Sold with the case of issue and COA. Total AGW 0.375 oz. Sold as is, no returns.
