MEXICO. "Hookneck" 8 Reales, 1824-Go JM. Guanajuato Mint. NGC VF Details--Cleaned.
HOH-GO4/GR4; KM-A376.1; DP-Go01. Variety with superscript "s" of Granos overlapping a ray. Rays are slightly offsets to the left of the "O" of "10". Head of snake points to inside vertical leg of "R", short berry stems on laurel wreath. This example displays a thin veneer of a champagne tone with areas of brighter coloration and hints of iridescence. The cap is full with remnants of "Libertad". The legends on both sides are complete. due to a somewhat shallow strike, typical of this mint, the central design features are flat.
