HGC-4, 1599; SNG Cop-63. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. Struck on a compact flan, as is typical of this later issue, this pedigreed Tetradrachm displays deep gunmetal toning with some russet deposits. A well-struck piece with plenty of detail and free from any of the test cuts or banker's marks which are often found on the type.
