HGC-10, 103 (Berytos); Pr-3412 var. Struck in the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; O in left field; below throne, AI below strut. Well-struck from fresh dies of artistic style. The surfaces are elegantly toned with iridescent color on the obverse fields and abundant original mint luster. An especially beautiful and well-preserved example of this RARE Tetradrachm.
