ROMAN REPUBLIC. Anonymous. AR Quinarius, Rome Mint, ca. 211-208 B.C. NGC Ch F. Edge Chips.
Cr-44/6; Syd-141. Obverse: Helmeted head of Roma right; V (mark of value) behind; Reverse: The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horses rearing right; ROMA in relief within tablet in exergue. A well-centered and deeply toned example of this silver fractional denomination. A chipped edge is noted on one periphery, but the coin's small details remain quite clear and attractive overall.
