RIC-96. Obverse: Helmeted, diademed, and cuirassed bust three quarters facing, holding spear and shield; Reverse: Roma and Constaninopolis, enthroned facing, supporting a shield between them. This RARE Solidus displays an elaborately decorated military bust of Constantius with sharp original detail. The lustrous golden color complements the well-executed strike. Exhibiting only light handling on is broad round flan, this piece exemplifies the height of 4th Century Roman coin art.
