MIXED LOTS. Trio of Roman Imperial AE Asses, Rome Mint, ca. A.D. 34-42. All NGC FINE Certified.
A nice grouping of Imperial Asses from the Julio-Claudian period. All are fairly well-circulated but feature attractive patina and satisfying detail. This lot offers a good opportunity to acquire portraits of three of the most famous figures of the Roman Empire.

1) DIVUS AUGUSTUS. Struck under Tiberius, ca. A.D. 34-37. RIC-83 (Tiberius). Posthumous issue. Obverse: Radiate head left; Reverse: Winged Thunderbolt.

2) AGRIPPA. Struck under Caligula, ca. A.D. 37-41. Scratches. RIC-58 (Caligula). Posthumous issue. Obverse: Head left with rostral crown; Reverse: Neptune standing left, holding small dolphin and trident.

3) CLAUDIUS. Ca. A.D. 41-42. RIC-97. Obverse: Bare head left; Reverse: Libertas standing right, holding pileus and extending hand.
