S-345. Obverse: Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding shield and crowning Victory on globus; Reverse: Constantinopolis, with head right and holding scepter and globus cruciger, seated facing on throne. Despite some strike weakness, this Solidus retains a stunning originality. The surfaces are fresh and lustrous, bearing scarcely any evidence of handling. The full broad flan is free from any clipping. A charming example of the issue.
