S-1704. Obverse: Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne; Reverse: Crowned facing busts of Basil, wearing loros, and Constantine, wearing chlamys, holding between them a patriarchal cross. This bright example exhibits a subtle warm tone over the rich golden surfaces. Despite showing some circulation wear, the coin is free from any distracting scratches, clipping, or graffiti. A wholesome Solidus from the middle period of Byzantine history.
