CONSTANTINE X, 1059-1067. AV Histamenon Nomisma (4.33 gms), Constantinople Mint, 1062-1065. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5. Scuffs.
S-1847. Obverse: Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne; Reverse: Constantine standing facing on dais, holding labarum and globus cruciger. A sharp example of this scyphate type. The noted scuffs are rather minor, and the piece is overall well-produced and lightly handled. Bright golden color on the surfaces gives the piece much eye appeal.
