Applied to a 1798-PTS PP Bolivia bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV) (KM-73). A charming example of this popular countermarked issue. Still possessing some original luster, the surfaces display an elegant mottled tone. The countermark is well-struck, with an especially sharp reverse. Three chopmarks are noted on the obverse. With plenty of charm and visual interest, this piece is certain to appeal to collectors.
