Countermark: Lattice with sun in center. Issued by decree of 22 March 1841. This grouping of countermarked issues includes host coins from various Spanish mints dated between 1788 and 1826. All feature some form of surface damage, which is common for this heavily circulated type. Each piece, however, can be fully identified and offers a clear date.
