Countermark: Lattice with sun in center. Issued by decree of 22 March 1841. An interesting pairing of circulated Spanish pieces with Cuban countermarks. One example is scratched and the other is too worn to make out a date, but both are intriguing. The countermarks are comparatively bold, and one of the coins was countermarked twice.
