DUTCH GUIANA (SURINAME). Uniface 4 Duits, 1679. NGC VF-30.
KM-8; Sch-1434C (R). Known as the "little parrots" on account of the obverse design, this issue originally had the nominal value of 4 Stuivers before being forbade for use. Not long after, they were brought back into use, this time with the value in the form of Duits. Deep brown surfaces, with a charming, original nature.
