Bernhart-116. After C. Welcz. Obverse: Charles, robed, mantled, and crowned, seated facing on ornate throne, holding sword and orb; Reverse: Jesus Christ, robed, seated slightly right on ornate throne, holding sword and orb. Reinforcing the idea of divine right, this later issue medallic issue presents then-Holy Roman Emperor Charles V (Charles/Carlos I of Spain) seated in the same manner as Christ himself. Attractive gilt surfaces, with a fairly typical mount removal.
