Obverse: Bare head left; Reverse: Female personification of shipping, holding trident, standing right on prow of ship; to right, female personifications of the Banks of Belgium and the Netherlands stand left; column with dates behind them; below, river god of the Scheldt reclining left, resting elbow upon urn from which liquid flows. A large and imposing medal, this red-brown specimen offers all of the technical beauty that one would expect from a product designed by one of the Wieners.
