BHM-2324. By T. Halliday. Obverse: View of the junk Keying under sail left; Reverse: Three line inscription, all within circular legend. A most charming example of a desirable medal that unites both British and Chinese intrigue. The surfaces glow with a soft brassy sheen, and evidence of actual handling is limited. Struck to commemorate the first Chinese junk--the Keying--to sail from Hong Kong to Great Britain. The voyage lasted 477 days.
