Diameter: 25mm; Weight: 8.45 gms. Commemorating the founding of the syndicate. Obverse: FONDÉE EN 1860, bust of Hermes/Mercury (representing commerce) set upon stack of books; jars, palette, and lab equipment around; Reverse: CHAMBRE / SYNDICALE / DES PRODUITS / CHIMIQUES in four lines; star below; all within oak wreath. Edge: [bee] ARGENT. Extremely elegant and brilliant, with attractive toning revealed when cradled back and forth. Fairly RARE and highly alluring, and the only such occurrence of the type in the PCGS census.
