Obverse: Winged male figure on one knee holding aloft an escutcheon with legend; another escutcheon, with inscription, below and superimposed on two sprigs of laurel extending from the lower right to the upper right, indistinct landscape in the background; Reverse: Female allegory, seated facing right, holding globe and using dividers to measure distance; landscape and sunrise in the background. Cornucopia privy mark. The Touring Club of France existed from 1890 to 1983 and was a social club for devotés of travel - particularly by velocipede. An extremely attractive medal design.
