By Hubert Ponscarme. 40mm. Obverse: Bust of Marianne facing left, perimeter legend; Reverse: Escutcheon with legend superimposed on a caduceus, palm frond, wheat, and grapevine; perimeter legend. Cornucopia privy mark. Ponscarme was a medalist (with a number of agricultural medals to his credit) and professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris where Roty and Rivet were among his students.
