FRANCE. Association of Agricultural Merit of Northern France Gilt Bronze Award Medal, ND (ca. 1910). Paris Mint. CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
By Adolphe Rivet. 49mm. Obverse: Draped bust of France facing left with a floral and agricultural wreath in her hair, escutcheon on a sprig of laurel with "RF" and "PAX" in exergue below; Reverse: Farmer, standing at left, leaning on the central inset containing legend; sheaf of grain at right, blank escutcheon below. Cornucopia privy mark. Rivet renders a particularly attractive bust of France on this medal issue, augmented by the gilded surfaces of this medal.
