Obverse: Female allegory of electrical power, soaring above clouds, hurling a thunderbolt, anepigraphic; Reverse: Hydroelectric powerplant in nature setting with distribution lines disappearing into the mountains and rim; inscribed escutcheon below superimposed on laurel sprigs; perimeter legend. The General Union of Electrical Construction was a successor organization to the Professional Union of Electrical Industries, formed in 1925. An attractive medal with satiny surfaces.
