S-1257; N-848. Paxs (BMC viii) type. Obverse: + PILLEL(M R)EX, crowned bust facing, holding sceptre; Reverse: + PIILBOLD ON CNTI, short cross pattee; annulet with letter of P A X S in each angle. A more difficult mint for the type, this near-Mint specimen offers an elegant tone with some hints of brilliance remaining in the protected areas.
