Obverse: St. George's shield within wreath composed of laurel branch and palm frond; Reverse: Two shield bearing St. George's cross (England) and harp (Ireland); XII (mark of value) above. Undoubtedly one of the finest of the type that one can possibly hope to encounter, this nearly-Choice specimen features a deep olive-gray tone and some elegant brilliance remaining as well. Not surprisingly, it stands atop the PCGS population report--the next finest merely attaining the grade of AU-58.
