S-3765A; KM-626. Authorized 9 March 1797. Countermark: Bank of England Type I; Raised bust of George III within oval indent. Applied to the obverse of a 1794-PTS PR Bolivia bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (KM-73.1). A well-circulated but wholesome example, free from cleaning or damage. The countermark is boldly applied to the obverse, and the piece displays a lovely mottled gray tone overall.
