Obverse: Bust of the Duke of Wellington facing right, perimeter legend; Reverse: British lion attacking French eagle at left in rocky, mountainous terrain, perimeter legend above and legend in exergue below. Number 23 in Mudie's National Series of Medals. Wellington checked a brief French offensive in the Pyrenees in late July 1813, forcing the war onto French territory.
