BHM-769; Eimer-1035. By Thomas Webb and Nicholas Guy Antoine Brenet. 41mm. Obverse: Head of the Duke of York facing left, perimeter legend; Reverse: Queen Charlotte, at right and facing left, presenting colors to the students of the military college, perimeter legend above, view of the college building in the exergue below. Number 11 in Mudie's National Series of Medals. The military college was founded in 1799, and moved locations twice. Per the British Museum's notes, on 8 August 1813, the Bishop of Salisbury consecrated a new chapel and this was likely the occasion in which the Queen presented the colors.
