Obverse: Bust of Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) facing three-quarters to right; anepigraphic; Reverse: "TENNYSON" across the center of the field. An interesting medal with a certain gravitas achieved through its uncluttered design. A few small spots of verdigris on the obverse and minor carbon spots on the reverse noted for completeness.
