KM-201.3. Countermark: Variety S1d; Flower-like design. Applied to the obverse of a 1796-Mo FM Mexico bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV) (KM-109). While this countermarked 8 Reales piece shows some graffiti, it is limited to the area surrounding the countermark and the coin is otherwise quite wholesome. Free from any cleaning or damage, the surfaces retain a nice luster beneath the light warm gray tone. A pleasing example with great detail on the host and countermark alike.
