Obverse: Three men clasping left hands, right hands extended upwards (a depiction of the Oath of the Rütli establishing the original alliance of Swiss cantons in 1307); perimeter legend; Reverse: Twenty-two flags of the then-extant Swiss cantons, with the Swiss Confederation flag vertically in the center, Swiss cross in clouds above; legend in exergue below. An historically interesting medal recalling fundamental history and legend of the founding of what would become the Swiss Confeeration.
